Gah that was stupid! The teacher was no help what-so-ever! I asked him how to make objects move and he was dumbfounded! I think he learned more from my explanations of coding I was able to get working thanks to another student and online tutorials than anything.

See, I'm trying to make a "game" for class, and I suck at coding. What I want to do is have a button/movieclip have coding on it and after an event has occurred (either from the button/mc itself or some other button/mc) the button/mc moves off screen or hides (using Actionscript 2). whichever. I've been trying for hours looking up tutorials, testing coding ideas, etc. all the while growing more frustrated and despiteful towards my choice of study. I knew I should've waited a few years and gotten back into proper animation...

Anywho, it's been months since my last flash class and I forgot nearly everything I learned. I really would appreciate the help and am willing to do a completely colored/shaded image to whomever helps me figure out the coding. I don't care if I have to put the code on one page and have everything animated.

I can explain the whole thing in detail by notes/IM. I don't feel like explaining the whole idea if no one watching me is as flash illiterate as I am.

Well, I'll be turning 26 on the 6th. Went to the Casino early because my sister had her birthday today (2nd) and we decided to do it in one trip. I gained about -16 dollars. It would've been worse had I not left the worst slot I've ever been on and found a Price is Right machine. I fricken rule on that one! Right on the second spin I got the Showcase Showdown. Gained 14.40 from the 10 I first put in.

Well, on the way home my dad tells me that he got me a computer desk to replace the card table I've been using for the past 2 or so years. The catch is, I have to clean my room so there's a place to put it. While I was taking out some recyclables, I spotted the table. He was not thinking when he bought it. It has wheels, a keyboard tray, and a floor. Not the best thing for my room. I have shaggy carpeting and a laptop. Not much use for the tray ATM. Plus it's small. Too small to allow me to put everything on it I want (TV, VCR/DVD player, Printer, Scanner, Laptop, future desktop pc). Perhaps I can convince him to exchange it for something that would work better and is made of wood, not glass.

My brother wanted the Card Table for some stupid fishing trip he's taking. Made me clear off all my stuff and now I'm typing this while lying on my back with the laptop on my wooden drawing board. Not very comfortable.

I have no idea how long it'll take me to get my room in a good enough condition to have a decent setup again.

Upon hearing that Furnation was closing, I went into a sort of panic attack. I mean, I was losing one of my oldest ties to the early internet, free hosting with unlimited space and bandwidth (and just recently email), and a place to host my portfolio.

Fortunately, I had enough money in the bank to purchase a domain name and space from GoDaddy. I also splurged and got an email account too. I'm not posting it here. If you're smart, you'll find it on your own.
